Munger, Tolles & Olson ranked No. 1 on The American Lawyer’s 2017 A-List published in the August issue, ascending from No. 2 last year.
Since the list’s inception in 2004, Munger Tolles has been ranked No. 1 five times.
Munger Tolles ranked No. 8 among Am Law 200 firms in diversity, and our female equity partner score was the 15th best in the nation.
“We are fortunate that this ranking looks at elements of the practice of law that are cornerstones of our culture, particularly diversity and pro bono commitment,” Munger Tolles Co-Managing Partner Brad D. Brian said. “Our culture of mutual respect and dedication helps us provide the highest quality legal services to our clients, whether they are corporations or underrepresented communities in need of pro bono legal counsel.”
The A-List recognizes the 20 law firms in the nation considered “the best of the best” according to various financial and cultural factors. Firms are ranked based on revenue per lawyer, pro bono commitment, associate satisfaction and racial diversity. This year, for the first time, Am Law also evaluated firms based on percentage of female equity partners.
