“We are thrilled to have earned a perfect score on this important survey for the third year in a row,” said Munger, Tolles & Olson Diversity Committee Co-Chair Anjan Choudhury. “Our firm is deeply committed to implementing policies, practices and benefits that provide workplace equality to our LGBTQ colleagues, and we are proud to maintain our longstanding engagement with the LGBTQ community through pro bono work and partnerships.”
The firm has demonstrated a long-standing commitment to LGBTQ equality in our legal representations and partnership with public interest organizations such as the AIDS Legal Referral Panel, Equality California Institute, Lambda Legal, National Center for Lesbian Rights and UCLA Williams Institute. From filing amicus briefs in the U.S. Supreme Court in support of equality for same-sex couples, such as in the Masterpiece Cakeshop case, to defending legislation prohibiting gay conversion therapy, Munger, Tolles & Olson is a longtime supporter of LGBTQ equality under the law.
The 2018 CEI rated 947 businesses in the report, which evaluates LGBTQ-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the LGBTQ community. Munger, Tolles & Olson’s efforts in satisfying all of the CEI’s criteria results in a 100 percent ranking and the designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality.
