Munger, Tolles & Olson’s Los Angeles office was awarded Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, or LEED, Gold Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council on July 24, 2017.
Our new office space was reviewed and rated for environmentally responsible design considerations. The office was rated highly for reducing water usage by 40 percent, utilizing Energy Star-qualified equipment and effectively using regionally-sourced materials in the construction process. The office earned 60 points, qualifying it as LEED gold certified.
“Sustainability was an important consideration as we were designing our new office space,” said Munger Tolles attorney and leader of the firm’s design efforts, Jeffrey A. Heintz. “We are proud to have earned LEED gold certification in recognition of our environmentally-conscious workspace.”
LEED is a certification program for buildings and communities that guides design, construction, operations and maintenance toward sustainability.
