Munger, Tolles & Olson real estate attorney Misty M. Sanford was recognized among the Daily Journal’s top 40 lawyers under 40 in a report published April 12, 2017.
Ms. Sanford was selected for her representation of corporate clients in “multimillion-dollar negotiations” and her work as a mayoral appointee to the City of Los Angeles Board of Recreation and Parks Commissioners.
The Daily Journal described Ms. Sanford’s role in launching the firm’s revamped MTO Fellows Program, which aims to strengthen the diversity of the legal profession by helping potential law school applicants of color prepare for admission to and success in law school. “We’re trying to tackle some of the real issues that affect folks of color not only on the performance in the standardized tests but also in law school and once they ultimately get into the law firms,” Ms. Sanford said.
Ms. Sanford practices real estate and land use law and represents institutional investors, developers, multi-national corporations, nonprofits, public entities and individual entrepreneurs in various transactions.
