Munger, Tolles & Olson attorney Miriam Kim was selected by the Northern District of California as a lawyer representative to the Ninth Circuit Judicial Council.
In this role, Ms. Kim will represent attorneys in the Northern District at the Ninth Circuit Judicial Conference, which gathers to consider the business of the courts in the Ninth Circuit; help organize the annual Northern District Judicial Conference; and advise on means of improving the administration of justice in the Ninth Circuit.
Lawyer representatives reflect the diversity of practice within the district and foster communication between the federal bench and bar. One of six new lawyer representatives selected for 2018, Ms. Kim will serve for a three-year term.
Ms. Kim’s practice focuses on trade secrets matters, complex civil litigation, and high-stakes investigations for technology companies. In addition to serving as AABA president, she is a member of the board of the Bar Association of San Francisco Justice & Diversity Center, co-chair of the Berkeley Law Asian Pacific American Alumni Association, and an active member of Christ Church East Bay.
