Munger, Tolles & Olson received the Allegiance Award from Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) at their annual banquet in Manhattan on April 26, 2017. Munger Tolles attorneys Adam R. Lawton and Joshua Patashnik accepted the award on behalf of the firm.
The KIND Allegiance Award is given to “partners that have gone above and beyond in their representation of unaccompanied children.”
Founded by Angelina Jolie and Microsoft Corporation, KIND provides quality legal counsel to unaccompanied refugee and immigrant children in the United States and seeks to ensure that no such child appears in immigration court without representation.
A longtime supporter of KIND, Munger Tolles was one of the first law firms to partner with the organization when it opened its Los Angeles office in 2009. Munger Tolles attorneys Joseph D. Lee, Adam R. Lawton and Joshua Patashnik co-lead the firm’s pro bono immigration practice.
