Brad Brian on Core Values, Collaborative Environment, Growth Strategy in Forbes

Munger, Tolles & Olson Co-Managing Partner Brad D. Brian discussed several aspects of why Munger Tolles is distinct among U.S. law firms in an interview published on on Feb. 7, 2017. In the interview, Mr. Brian explained the firm’s philosophy on growth, accepting work from clients, attorney compensation, career development and more.

As part of the discussion, Mr. Brian touched on the firm’s mission to represent its clients on their most challenging matters, noting that clients turn to Munger Tolles to take leadership roles in “bet-the-company” issues. He also talked about the firm’s core values and how those are reflected in the firm’s egalitarian culture and its strong commitment to pro bono and community service.

Mr. Brian also reflected on the decision to open a third office in Washington, D.C. in fall 2016, 25 years after opening an office in San Francisco. He pointed to the unique opportunity to bring in former U.S. Solicitor General Donald B. Verrilli, Jr. and veteran litigator Michael B. DeSanctis
