Munger, Tolles & Olson attorney Adam I. Kaplan published an article in the Spring 2017 issue of San Francisco Attorney outlining the history of the Bar Association of San Francisco’s Barristers Club on its 90th anniversary.
The article describes the Barristers Club’s dedication to providing newer members of the bar with opportunities to network and socialize, advancing legislation on behalf of the community and supporting the next generation of lawyers.
During its nine-decade history, Barristers Club activities have ranged from a prison observer program, minority law student assistance and a mock trial program to golf tournaments, theatrical performances and boat cruises.
“A review of the Barristers Club’s reports over the decades shows that Barristers, from the beginning, have dedicated themselves to improving themselves, the profession, and the community. And having fun all the while,” Mr. Kaplan writes.
Mr. Kaplan, a litigator in Munger Tolles’ San Francisco office, serves as BASF’s 2017 Barristers Club president.
