Adam Kaplan on Effective Public Speaking

Munger, Tolles & Olson attorney Adam I. Kaplan published an article in the Fall 2017 issue of San Francisco Attorney about his experience as a member of the Public Speaking Practice Group of the Bar Association of San Francisco (BASF) Barristers Club.

As Mr. Kaplan writes, the group was formed “to help members develop or refine what for many is a critical, yet under-practiced skill.” He summarizes top tips shared by various guest speakers, including Munger, Tolles & Olson litigator Malcolm A. Heinicke, who discussed the importance of being prepared, engaging the audience and practicing extensively.

Mr. Kaplan is a litigator who focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation, with an emphasis on securities, intellectual property and employment litigation. He is the president of BASF’s Barristers Club and a past co-chair of the Barristers Club’s Litigation Section.
