Munger, Tolles & Olson attorney Miriam Kim discussed the Defend Trade Secrets Act (DTSA) at a CLE program hosted by the Bar Association of San Francisco on July 13, 2016.
The panel presentation offered an overview and analysis of key provisions of the DTSA, which expanded federal intellectual property law significantly in 2016. Alongside fellow panelists, Ms. Kim discussed strategic choices for litigating new federal causes of action for trade secret misappropriation and the differences between the new DTSA and the California Uniform Trade Secrets Act.
Ms. Kim is a litigator in the firm’s San Francisco office. Her practice focuses on complex civil litigation, intellectual property matters and internal investigations for high technology companies, particularly in the semiconductor and software industries.
