Lisa Demsky Speaks on Political Favors, Corruption

Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP attorney Lisa J. Demsky spoke at the 48th Annual Winter Bench & Bar Conference presented by the Federal Bar Council on Jan. 30-Feb. 6, 2016.

Ms. Demsky participated in the “Ordinary Political Favors” panel, which addressed recent cases and issues arising in the field of political corruption, including the case of McDonnell v. United States, currently before the Supreme Court. The panel was moderated by Judge Nicholas Garaufis, Senior Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.  Other panelists at the conference included other notable practitioners, several Second Circuit judges, and Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States Sonia Sotomayor.

Ms. Demsky is a litigator whose practice is focused on complex commercial cases, internal investigations and white collar defense across a range of jurisdictions nationwide.
