Munger, Tolles & Olson attorney Brad D. Brian was profiled as a “Trial Pro” by Law360 in an article published on March 30, 2016.
The Q&A interview highlighted Mr. Brian’s most notable trial, a Cold War criminal espionage case, and his most unexpected trial experience, which occurred when the government’s case against his client Thomas Spiegel, former chairman of Columbia Savings & Loan Association, collapsed.
The Law360 profile also detailed Mr. Brian’s trial preparation routine and words of advice to attorneys facing their first trial. “Be yourself. Don’t try to adopt someone else’s personality or manner. You won’t come across as genuine,” Mr. Brian said.
Mr. Brian was named a “Litigator of the Year” by The American Lawyer in the publication’s January 2016 issue, recognized for his success in securing a favorable trial verdict on behalf of Transocean Ltd. in civil litigation arising from the 2010 Deepwater Horizon rig explosion and oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
Mr. Brian is a national trial lawyer and serves as co-managing partner of Munger Tolles. A complex civil and criminal litigator, Mr. Brian is a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers.
