Scholar Joan Williams Presents on Women and Work

Joan C. Williams, Professor of Law at UC Hastings College of the Law, led an interactive discussion on women and work issues at a special event hosted by the women of Munger, Tolles & Olson.

A leading authority on women in the workplace, Professor Williams discussed subtle bias in Palo Alto, California on Nov. 12, 2015. Her presentation focused on ways to make progress on gender issues and offered guests concrete tools to help navigate workplaces shaped by subtle bias. The program came on the heels of her article in the Harvard Business Review, “Hacking Tech’s Diversity Problem.”

Professor Williams is the founding director of the Center for WorkLife Law (WLL) at UC Hastings College of the Law. Munger Tolles is a sponsor of WLL’s Women’s Leadership Edge, an executive training program for women in the legal profession, and Rosemarie T. Ring is a member of the WLL board.

The event was attended by women attorneys of Munger Tolles and their guests.
