Munger, Tolles & Olson attorneys Rosemarie T. Ring and Jonathan H. Blavin will participate in the 2015 Legal Frontiers in Digital Media Conference on May 14-15, 2015. Presented jointly by the Media Law Resource Center and the Berkeley Center for Law & Technology, the conference will explore “emerging legal issues surrounding digital content in today’s multi-platform world.”
Ms. Ring, conference chair emeritus, will speak on a panel focused on recent developments in government regulation and litigation in the realm of privacy and data security. Ms. Ring and her fellow panelists will also discuss the ways companies can get ahead of privacy and cybersecurity risks. Mr. Blavin is co-chair of this year’s event. Included in this year’s conference materials is an article that he co-authored on lessons for in-house counsel on data breach issues.
Mr. Blavin is a litigator with substantial experience in high-technology intellectual property disputes and Internet and privacy-related litigation. Ms. Ring is a litigator focused on class actions involving privacy and data security, and she counsels clients on compliance with federal and state privacy and data security laws. Both are based in the firm’s San Francisco office.
