The Los Angeles County Bar Associations (LACBA) will recognize Munger, Tolles & Olson name partner Ronald L. Olson with one of its highest honors, the Shattuck-Price Outstanding Lawyer Award, at its 2015 Installation and Awards Dinner on June 25, 2015.
Mr. Olson will be honored for “his extraordinary career of serving clients of national and global importance, while improving and developing alternative methods to achieve resolutions in our justice system and increasing access to justice.” With this award, LACBA celebrates the range of Mr. Olson’s legal representations, which include the Berkshire Hathaway, Getty Museum, Norton Simon Museum, NFL, NCAA, PepsiCo, Tokyo Electric Power Company and Imperial Irrigation District, among others. The association also recognizes his success in securing a settlement that marked “a fundamental change in how the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) treats homeless veterans,” as well as his involvement in more than a dozen nonprofit organizations.
In a press release issued by the association, Linda L. Curtis, LACBA President said, “We commend Mr. Olson for his work on innovative resolutions to high-profile, high-impact cases, and his leadership of law-related non-profits serving our communities. His cases have set national precedent and impacted the very way in which we practice law and resolve cases today.”
Mr. Olson’s practice involves a combination of litigation and corporate counseling.
