Munger Tolles’ Pro Bono Work Recognized by Justice in Aging

Munger, Tolles & Olson and its attorneys Robert K. Johnson and David H. Fry will receive the 2015 Justice Award from Justice in Aging on April 16, 2015. The organization will recognize the firm and Messrs. Johnson and Fry for their commitment to pro bono service and use of law in combating senior poverty.

Mr. Johnson has served on the board of Justice in Aging, formerly National Senior Citizens Law Center (NSCLC), since 2006 and was its board chair from 2010 to 2014. Mr. Fry led a team of Munger Tolles attorneys in Martinez v. Astrue, a national class action lawsuit that won more than $750 million in Social Security and SSI benefits for seniors and people with disabilities whose benefits had been illegally denied or suspended by the Social Security Administration. He also continues to serve on the Justice in Aging board of directors, a position he has held since 2010.

The Justice in Aging celebration will take place at the City Club in downtown Los Angeles from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on April 16. Event details and sponsorship and registration information can be found here.
