Munger, Tolles & Olson attorney Jerome C. Roth spoke at the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers’ (NACDL) Fifth Annual West Coast White Collar Conference in San Diego on June 18, 2015. Titled “Turning the Tables on the Government,” the conference examined a variety of criminal law topics focused primarily on export control, AECA, ITAR and OFAC white collar defense issues.
Mr. Roth spoke on a panel titled “Safeguarding Confidence: Ethical Strategies for Preventing and Addressing Privilege Problems.” His presentation highlighted privilege and ethical issues that arise in the context of international investigations and white collar criminal cases, especially in view of the different attorney-client privilege regimes in other countries.
Mr. Roth is a litigator in the firm’s San Francisco office. He is trial lawyer specializing in international and business litigation and white collar criminal defense.
