Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP is representing Berkshire Hathaway in its acquisition of Van Tuyl Group, the nation’s largest privately-owned auto dealership group, announced Oct. 2, 2014.
The company will be rebranded as Berkshire Hathaway Automotive and will be headquartered in Dallas, Texas. The company’s leadership and business model will remain the same.
The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2015, subject to approvals from the major auto manufacturers as well as certain customary closing conditions, including various regulatory approvals.
Led by Mary Ann Todd, the Munger Tolles corporate team advising Berkshire Hathaway includes Robert E. Denham, Mark R. Sayson and Jennifer M. Broder. Stephen D. Rose and Samuel T.
