Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP will host a panel discussion on preventing gun violence on January 9, 2014 from 12:00-1:30 p.m. “The Newtown Reality: The Fight Over the Second Amendment and Smart Gun Laws” is being sponsored by Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence.
Panelists will include Erwin Chemerinsky, Dean and Distinguished Professor of Law at UC Irvine School of Law; Mike Feuer, Los Angeles City Attorney; and Robyn Thomas, the Law Center’s Executive Director. Munger Tolles litigator Jacob S. Kreilkamp will be the panel’s attorney host.
Panelists will “discuss what is going on in the states, how effective regulation can be crafted within the restraints of the Second Amendment and the political dynamics that surround the issue.”
Mr. Kreilkamp is on the board of the ACLU Foundation of Southern California and the Somes Pond Center. His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation and civil rights pro bono litigation.
