John Owens Confirmed to Ninth Circuit

Munger, Tolles & Olson partner John Owens has been confirmed by the U.S. Senate as a judge to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. The Senate voted on March 31, 2014.

Mr. Owens is a complex business litigator whose practice focuses on representing individuals and corporations in government investigations, and conducting internal investigations into allegations of corporate misconduct. Prior to joining Munger Tolles in 2012, he was a federal prosecutor for 11 years. Mr. Owens graduated first in his class from Stanford Law School in 1996. He served as a law clerk to Ninth Circuit Judge J. Clifford Wallace and Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg of the Supreme Court of the United States.
