Munger, Tolles & Olson attorney Stephen D. Rose will speak on tax issues in a discussion titled “Corporate Tax Strategies and Techniques Using Partnerships, LLCs and Other Strategic Alliances.“
This discussion will be featured in two seminars called “Tax Strategies for Corporate Acquisitions, Dispositions, Spin-offs, Joint Ventures, Financings, Reorganizations & Restructurings 2013.” The seminars will be hosted by the Practicing Law Institute (PLI). The first seminar will be held November 19-21 at The InterContinental Chicago Magnificent Mile in Chicago. The second will take place Dec. 4-6 in Los Angeles at the Intercontinental Los Angeles Century City Hotel.
Mr. Rose will discuss such topics as the rise of partnerships in the public space; the treatment of Section 197 intangibles in a partnership context; single-member LLCs; and the effects of possible carried interest legislation.
Mr. Rose concentrates his law practice on the structuring and taxation aspects of complex business transactions.
