Munger Tolles Honored by BALIF for Pro Bono Contributions

Munger, Tolles & Olson was recently honored by the Bay Area Lawyers for Individual Freedom (BALIF) for “their outstanding pro-bono contribution to the advancement of LGBT rights in 2013” at the BALIF Holiday Party held December 18.

The Firm was recognized for its representation of BALIF in several amicus briefs on a pro bono basis in notable cases, among them the Perry case, the challenge to California’s Proposition 8 before the Supreme Court and the Sevcik and Jackson cases, which challenged same-sex marriage bans in Nevada and Hawaii.

BALIF especially recognized Munger Tolles attorney Jerome C. Roth who served as lead counsel on many of the amicus briefs for “his dedication to BALIF and BALIF’s causes.”
