MTO Fellows to Attend NYU, Stanford Law Schools

MTO Fellows Kyle Azi and Cameron Brown have accepted admission to Stanford Law School, and MTO Fellow Monica Bruzzio has accepted admission to New York University School of Law. They joined Munger, Tolles & Olson in July 2012.

The MTO Fellows Program was launched in 2007 as part of the firm’s Diversity Pipeline initiative. The Fellows Program provides two to five full-time positions in the Los Angeles office to students who plan to attend law school. MTO Fellows work closely with attorneys and paralegals, participate in a wide range of educational activities, receive a stipend and time off to prepare for the LSAT and receive personalized mentoring from assigned attorneys throughout the law school application process.

The 2012-2013 Fellows had many positive things to say about their experience at Munger Tolles:

“The Fellows program was a tremendous learning experience. Not only did it help me achieve my goal of attending a top law school, but I feel more prepared for a career in the legal field because of the incredible people and projects I was exposed to at Munger Tolles,” Mr. Brown said.

“The Munger Tolles Fellowship allows you to take control of your work experience as you explore pro bono and corporate litigation. I have witnessed the power of lawyers to provide people in need with unparalleled, life-altering assistance, and look forward to using the knowledge, skills and network I have gained through the Fellows program to address some of our country’s most alarming social problems. I could not have asked for more engaging and substantive projects, and I am incredibly grateful for my experience at Munger Tolles,” Mr. Azi explained.

Ms. Bruzzio said: “I am so grateful to have been a part of the MTO Fellows Program. Through this program, I had amazing mentors who helped me every step of the way as I studied for the LSAT and applied to law school.  In addition, I was able to partake in meaningful and interesting projects, such as assisting an asylum seeker and working on a multi-million dollar deal. Thanks to the support I have received from Munger Tolles, I am confident that I am ready to take on whatever challenges may come my way in law school and beyond.

Munger Tolles attorneys Misty M. Sanford and Bram M. Alden chair the MTO Fellows Program Committee, which includes Anjan Choudhury, Jennifer A. Jones, Sarah L. Graham and Jasmine M.  Roberts, and is supported by Human Resources staff.
