Munger, Tolles & Olson attorney Kelly M. Klaus spoke at a panel on June 11, titled “Please Excuse the Following Disruption: The Past, Present and Possible Future of Television and Radio Copyright Litigation.”
The panel was held at the 2013 Annual Meeting of The Copyright Society of the U.S.A. The panel addressed the long line of copyright cases involving public performance rights and new technologies, culminating most recently in the Cablevision, Aereo and DishTV lawsuits. In addition, the panel offered predictions about the long-term trajectory of litigation related to the distribution and redistribution of audiovisual content.
