Rosemarie Ring to Discuss Privacy Litigation at Two Upcoming Conferences

Munger Tolles litigation partner Rosemarie T. Ring will discuss trends and hot topics in privacy litigation at two conferences in October.

On Oct. 4, she will discuss privacy class actions during “Class Actions Plaintiff & Defense Perspectives,” a conference sponsored by Continuing Legal Education (CLE) International.  Ms. Ring will present the defense perspective in a session titled: “Privacy Class Actions: Is Your Personal Information Ever Safe?”  The two-day conference will be held in Chicago and provide both plaintiff and defense perspectives on new developments and trends in class action law.  The Honorable William J. Bauer of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit will be the keynote speaker.

On Oct. 11, Ms. Ring will discuss privacy litigation at the 2012 Privacy Academy sponsored by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).  She will present during a session titled “Privacy Litigation: Putting a Price on Privacy,” which will explore recent court rulings and major settlements in order to provide a practical overview of current cases and future trends in privacy litigation.

Ms. Ring is a litigation partner in the San Francisco office of Munger, Tolles & Olson. Her practice focuses on complex commercial litigation with a particular expertise in class actions involving privacy, unfair competition and false advertising claims.
