Munger Tolles & Olson’s Richard S. Volpert and his wife Marcia received the 2011 Community Service Award from the American Jewish Committee (AJC) on June 16, 2011. The Volperts were recognized for their significant contributions to the Los Angeles community through their involvement in civic and community activities and organizations.
Mr. Volpert has been a member of the AJC’s Los Angeles board since 1967, serving as president from 1999-2002. He is also an honorary national vice president and national board member for the organization. Mr. Volpert serves as the president of the board of governors of the Los Angeles Natural History Museum and is a past president of its foundation board.
Mr. Volpert is of counsel in the Los Angeles office of Munger Tolles. His practice focuses on the planning and development of large scale real estate projects.
