Munger, Tolles & Olson's Sean Eskovitz has been appointed to the California Fair Political Practices Commission by California Gov. Jerry Brown.
The commission is a bi-partisan statewide body that regulates campaign financing and spending, financial conflicts of interest, lobbyist registration and reporting, post-governmental employment, mass mailings at public expense, and gifts and honoraria given to public officials and candidates. The commission was created by the Political Reform Act of 1974.
Mr. Eskovitz is a partner in Munger Tolles' Los Angeles office. He has an active trial and complex civil litigation practice and represents companies and individuals in government investigations and prosecutions.
