Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP Selects Two New Partners in Los Angeles from the Associate Ranks

Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP is pleased to announce the selection of BRETT J. RODDA and SEAN ESKOVITZ as partners, effective January 1, 2007.

Mr. Eskovitz is a trial lawyer in MTO's litigation practice.  Mr. Rodda is a transactional lawyer in the Corporate practice.  Both work in the firm’s Los Angeles office.

Mr. Rodda's corporate practice touches on a wide variety of corporate transactions and securities matters, with an emphasis on corporate governance and public company disclosure issues.  Mr. Rodda recently coordinated the securities and regulatory analysis for Warren Buffett’s historic gift to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.  He also serves as outside general counsel to the Daily Journal Corporation.  In the mergers and acquisitions area, Mr. Rodda has represented Berkshire Hathaway, Wesco Financial Corporation and Vivendi in connection with nine completed public company mergers.  Mr. Rodda received his law degree in 1999 from Stanford Law School.

Mr. Eskovitz has extensive experience litigating complex civil and criminal cases.  Before joining Munger, Tolles & Olson in 2005, Mr. Eskovitz was a partner at Boies, Schiller & Flexner in New York.  Mr. Eskovitz  also served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York from 1999-2003.  There he prosecuted complex criminal cases involving racketeering, financial and bank fraud, tax fraud, money laundering, violent crimes, and narcotics offenses.   Mr. Eskovitz served as a law clerk to the Honorable Paul V. Niemeyer of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit after graduating from New York University School of Law in 1995 .
