Tia Baheri is a litigation associate in the Los Angeles office of Munger, Tolles & Olson. Her practice focuses on complex business and intellectual property disputes for technology and media clients.

Ms. Baheri has experience litigating in state and federal court, including writing dispositive briefs and managing all aspects of discovery.  Before joining the firm, Ms. Baheri was an associate at a leading trial boutique firm and clerked for the Honorable Josephine L. Staton of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.  During law school, she also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable William Alsup of the Northern District of California.

Ms. Baheri maintains an active pro bono practice, with a focus on civil rights and indigent criminal defense.

Ms. Baheri earned her J.D., Order of the Coif, from University of California, Berkeley School of Law, where she was Editor-in-Chief of the Berkeley Journal of Gender, Law and Justice; Associate Editor and Web Content Editor of the California Law Review; and Co-Director of the Appellate Moot Court Team. At Berkeley, Ms. Baheri also won a Jurisprudence Award for her paper in the “IP, Technological Disruption, & Social Justice” seminar and Prosser Prizes in Intellectual Property Law and Evidence Law. She graduated with a B.S. in Foreign Service, magna cum laude, from Georgetown University.
