Lucas Artaiz is a corporate associate in the Los Angeles office of Munger, Tolles & Olson.
Mr. Artaiz was previously an associate at Sidley Austin LLP, where he represented public and private companies and private equity funds in a variety of corporate transactions.
Mr. Artaiz earned his J.D. with honors from the University of Chicago Law School. While attending law school, he worked as a student director in the Kirkland & Ellis Corporate Lab, supervising teams of law students in the transactional clinic and was a member of the Young Center Immigration Clinic. Mr. Artaiz also served as an academic counselor through the Office of the Dean of Students, providing academic support and guidance to students navigating their first year of law school.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Artaiz was a member of Teach for America, working as a middle school science teacher in Glendale Arizona, and later taught middle school science and high school economics at Brophy College Preparatory in Phoenix.
Mr. Artaiz holds a B.S. in education and social policy from Northwestern University and an M.Ed. in secondary education from Arizona State University.
