Brendan Gants is a litigation associate in the Washington, D.C office of Munger, Tolles & Olson.
Mr. Gants was previously an associate at a leading law firm, where he represented a wide variety of clients in complex civil and criminal litigation, including actions arising under federal securities laws. In this role, he represented clients in civil and criminal trials, appellate matters, and matters related to government investigations, including client and witness interviews. In 2018, Mr. Gants briefly served as Special Counsel to Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee.
After law school, Mr. Gants clerked for Judge Amalya Lyle Kearse of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Mr. Gants earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School, and served as vice president of the Harvard Law Review. He graduated with a B.A., magna cum laude, in political science from Yale University. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Gants was an associate consultant at Bain & Company and served in AmeriCorps VISTA.
