We are seeking recent college graduates with strong academic backgrounds to work closely with firm attorneys, staff attorneys, legal specialists, paralegals, litigation interns, case clerks and others on litigation matters. This is an exciting opportunity for those who are looking to learn about the legal world for a few years.
The litigation analyst will work on research projects, fact development, timelines and other case needs to support the firm’s litigation department. Litigation analysts are expected to maintain regular office hours consistent with the firm’s normal business hours and be available, as needed, for after-hours and weekend overtime. This position generally has a two year commitment.
B.A. or B.S. degree recently obtained from an accredited college or university with a cumulative GPA of 3.6 or higher. Prior office experience preferred and those with a strong interest in pursuing a future legal career.
Strong organizational, reasoning and research skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Good judgment; attention to detail; initiative; team player; team-building and strong leadership experience. Able to quickly respond to constantly changing instructions and understand complex and substantive case facts and themes.
Demonstrates initiative in seeking work and managing work load. Consistently produces high-quality work product; regularly checks for errors and makes corrections as necessary; takes ownership of projects and completes assignments in a timely fashion.
Possesses the knowledge and basic skills that are required to perform the essential functions of the position. Demonstrates working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
