Rose Ring Speaks on Class Actions at ABA Conference

Munger, Tolles & Olson attorney Rosemarie T. Ring will speak at the ABA Section of Litigation’s conference “Who’s in Charge Here?: The Role of Lawyers, Clients, Insurers, and Judges in Class Actions and Mass Tort Litigation.” The event will be held June 19, 2014 at the University of San Francisco Law School.

Ms. Ring will speak on a panel titled, “‘Whose Class Is it Anyway?’ The Policy, Practice, and Ethics Behind the Search for Named Plaintiffs.” Panelists will discuss policy challenges facing plaintiffs and counsel in modern class action cases. They will also address navigating ethics and “adequacy” requirements when selecting a class to represent as well as reconciling the plaintiffs’ claims with the issue at large.

Ms. Ring’s practice focuses on class actions involving privacy and data security, unfair competition, and false advertising claims. In 2013, she was recognized by The Recorder  “Women Leader in Technology Law.”
