Carl H. Moor was sworn in on January 9, as a judge in the Los Angeles County Superior Court at the Los Angeles office of Munger, Tolles & Olson.
Judge Paul J. Watford of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and a former Munger Tolles attorney, administered the oath of office to Mr. Moor, who was appointed by California Gov. Jerry Brown on December 5. Munger Tolles attorneys Luis Li, Hailyn J. Chen, Melinda Eades LeMoine and Ronald L. Olson spoke at the ceremony. Randall R. The event was well attended by members of the community, including Munger Tolles attorneys and staff, Mr. Moor’s family and friends, and legal community leaders.
Until his appointment in December, Mr. Moor was a litigator at Munger Tolles, where he focused his practice on complex civil litigation, SEC enforcement proceedings, internal investigations and white collar criminal defense.
