Munger, Tolles & Olson attorney Miriam Kim recently spoke on a panel discussion at UC Berkeley School of Law on Asian Americans in law firms.
“Playing the “Race Card”: Rethinking Asian American and Law Firm Diversity Programs” was sponsored by the Asian American Law Journal at the law school. About 70 students attended.
The panel began with Ms. Kim's presentation of recent survey results and statistics regarding Asian American law firm lawyers. Topics discussed included the rift within the Asian American community over the Fisher v. University of Texas case and whether Asian Americans should be given any racial preference in the law firm context.
Ms. Kim’s practice focuses on complex business litigation, with particular emphasis in intellectual property matters and internal investigations in the semiconductor and software industries.
