Munger, Tolles & Olson partner Jonathan H. Blavin will speak at the UC Hastings Privacy Project: Privacy Tools for Startups on Aug. 30.
Mr. Blavin will discuss, among other things, recent legal developments in the privacy and mobile device contexts, including under the Wiretap Act, Stored Communication Act, and Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, and their impact on privacy-by-design principles.
The workshop is aimed at helping startups learn practical tools, practices, and tips from legal and technical startup experts in the privacy field. The event, which is being sponsored by Munger Tolles, will be hosted at Rocket Space in San Francisco, which hosts over 130 of the hottest startups in mobile, gaming and Web 2.0.
Mr. Blavin is a partner in the San Francisco office of Munger Tolles. He has substantial experience in high-technology intellectual property disputes and in Internet and privacy-related litigation.
