On Oct. 24 and Nov. 14, Mr. Rose will speak at the 70th Institute on Federal Taxation, hosted by New York University’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies. This is one of the country's most comprehensive conferences covering major tax issues. The conference will be located at The Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York in October and at The Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco in November.
Also in November, Mr. Rose will participate in the ALI ABA’s “Creative Tax Planning for Real Estate Transactions.” He will be a featured speaker at the 18-hour course, from Nov. 2-4 in Chicago. The course will focus on planning techniques for dealing with federal income tax consequences of real estate transactions and investments.
Then, on Nov. 15 and Nov. 30, Mr. Rose will speak at the Practising Law Institute’s (PLI) “Tax Strategies for Corporate Acquisitions, Dispositions, Spinoffs, Joint Ventures, Financings, Reorganizations & Restructurings 2011.” The PLI seminar will be held in Chicago at the Sofitel Chicago Water Tower on Nov. 15 and in Los Angeles at the Intercontinental Los Angeles on Nov. 30. His discussions will provide an overview of tax issues stemming from an array of modern major corporate transactions.
Mr. Rose is a tax partner in the Los Angeles office of Munger, Tolles & Olson. His practice concentrates on the structuring and taxation aspects of complex business transactions.
