Ronald L. Olson, Brad D. Brian and Marc T.G. Dworsky were named among the “Top 100” lawyers in California by the Daily Journal newspaper on Sept. 27. Mr. Olson and Mr. Brian have been included on the list every year since its inception.
Among the matters for which Mr. Olson was highlighted was his pro bono work on behalf of homeless veterans in Los Angeles. Partnering with the American Civil Liberties Union, Mr. Olson is taking on the Veteran’s Administration to obtain a large piece of land in West Los Angeles, which is intended to house disabled veterans but is being misused.
The Daily Journal noted that Mr. Brian “handles some of corporate America’s biggest and nastiest disputes.” The newspaper noted his recent successful representation of DoubleLine Capital Inc. in a two-month jury trial, LG Display in an antitrust dispute and MGM resorts in a class action.
Mr. Dworsky was recognized for representing major financial institutions following the collapse of the mortgage market. Mr. Dworsky acted as lead counsel for Wells Fargo in its $125 million settlement, announced in July, to resolve investors claims that the bank misled them about the risk of more than $35 billion.
The Top 100 list is compiled annually by Daily Journal reporters and editors, and includes members of the judiciary, academics, and lawyers in the public and private sectors.
