On Oct. 14, Munger, Tolles & Olson attorneys Jonathan H. Blavin and Malcolm A. Heinicke will be featured speakers at the Bar Association of San Francisco’s 2011 Annual Meeting.
This year’s meeting, entitled “Professional Growth for our Generation,” provides discussions on basic tips for associates, how to develop your practice and how to cope with emerging issues.
Mr. Heinicke will join three other attorneys in a discussion entitled “What Your Litigation Partner Wants From You.” He will offer advice for young lawyers on how to structure their work product and communications in order to best provide what clients and partners are looking to receive.
Mr. Blavin will discuss liability issues arising from social networking in his one-hour talk, “Battles in Social Networking.” In his presentation, he will provide attorneys with information on tools that allow users to extract "social data,” such as friends names, email addresses or phone numbers, from one social networking site to another. These tools are at the center of the increasingly competitive social networking market.
Mr. Heinicke is a partner in the San Francisco office of Munger Tolles. His practice focuses on labor and employment litigation and counseling as well as complex commercial litigation, particularly California and national class actions.
Mr. Blavin is a litigation associate in the San Francisco office with a wide-ranging practice in federal and state court at the trial and appellate levels.
