Munger, Tolles & Olson lawyers represented Spyglass Entertainment’s top executives as part of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer’s Chapter 11 restructuring plan.
On October 7, MGM proposed a prepackaged bankruptcy that would include, among other things, a contribution of assets by Spyglass Entertainment. Once creditors approve the plan and MGM emerges from Chapter 11, Spyglass’ Co-Chairman Gary Barber and Chief Executive Officer Roger Birnbaum will take over running the reorganized MGM.
Munger Tolles represented the executives, who have been involved with “Seabiscuit” and “Star Trek,” in the negotiation of their employment and equity ownership arrangements with MGM. The attorneys working on the matter include Ronald L. Olson and Robert K. Johnson.
