Richard Drooyan Named to LAX Airport Security Panel

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa has appointed Munger, Tolles & Olson partner Richard Drooyan to be part of the newly formed 26-member security review panel for Los Angeles International Airport. The panel will review counterterrorism measures, law enforcement, fire services, emergency management and available resources to enhance safety at the nation’s third-busiest airport, the Los Angeles Times reported.

In addition to Mr. Drooyan, the panel also includes judges, federal and local law enforcement officials, emergency management experts, airport officials, academics, business executives and high-ranking firefighters.

Mr. Drooyan serves as Commissioner on the Board of Police Commissioners for the Los Angeles Police Department. His practice focuses on civil litigation, white collar defense and securities enforcement matters.
