The American Law Institute (ALI), the leading independent organization for legal scholarship and research, has selected Munger, Tolles & Olson litigator Fred A. Rowley, Jr. as one of its newest members. There are currently more than 4,200 lawyer, judge and legal educator members of ALI in the U.S. and around the world, who are elected based on their professional achievement and demonstrated interest in improving the law. Founded in 1923, ALI seeks to improve the law through scholarly discussion, revision and publication of legal principles, model statutes and Restatements of Law that prove influential in legal education, courts and legislation. Mr. Rowley joins a group of current and former Munger Tolles attorney members of the widely respected organization.
Mr. Rowley’s practice focuses on appellate litigation, complex civil litigation, and white collar criminal defense. He has represented clients at all stages of trial, and in appeals before the federal Courts of Appeals, the California appellate courts, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
