Munger Tolles Named One of the “Best Litigation Departments of the Year” by The American Lawyer

The American Lawyer named Munger, Tolles & Olson as an honorable mention in their 2010 “Best Litigation Department of the Year” contest. Now in its fifth year, the biannual competition recognizes the litigation work of the nation’s top 200 law firms over a 19-month period. Munger Tolles was a finalist in the 2006 competition and an honorable mention in 2008.

This year, The American Lawyer cited the firm’s representation of Rambus Inc. in the computer chip maker’s ongoing patent litigation, the defense of movie studios against the potential release of DVD copying software, and the firm’s recovery of $500 million in Social Security benefits on behalf of recipients, as reasons for inclusion on the list.
