Malcolm A. Heinicke has been selected by the Daily Journal as one of this year's Top 20 Under 40 lawyers in California.
Mr. Heinicke has received high praise from colleagues and adversaries alike for his expertise in representing corporate defendants in statewide and national employment class actions. Jeff Bleich, a fellow partner and current President of the State Bar, has worked with Mr. Heinicke on these matters and is emphatic that he is the "go-to person" and "the leading lawyer in the state, if not the country" in these cases.
In addition to building an impressive national client base, Mr. Heinicke is active on the political scene as well. Mr. Heinicke formerly served via appointment by former Mayor Willie Brown as the Chair of the San Francisco Human Rights Commission, the body charged with overseeing and enforcing the City's anti-discrimination laws and policies as well as its preferential contracting programs. Most recently, Mayor Gavin Newsome appointed Mr. Heinicke to the influential Board of Commissioners of the Municipal Transportation Agency.
