Since 1988, Mr. Allred has been an associate and then a partner in the Los Angeles office of Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP, handling a variety of complex business litigation. This litigation practice has particularly emphasized professional liability matters, class actions, False Claims Act cases and related government investigations, and antitrust, unfair competition and trade regulation matters. Mr. Allred has also handled litigation in other areas, such as securities, real estate, insurance coverage, and general contract disputes.
In addition to active litigation, Mr. Allred has consulted extensively with clients regarding potential antitrust or tortious interference claims in connection with contemplated transactions or business activities, and has worked on antitrust clearance issues in connection with mergers. Mr. Allred also has worked on corporate internal investigations and government investigations relating to potential antitrust, False Claims Act, securities or other white collar crime issues. This consultation/investigation work has included work for clients in the oil, entertainment, health services, electric utility and general manufacturing areas.
