Robyn Kali Bacon

ROBYN KALI BACON is a litigation associate in the Los Angeles office of Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP. Ms. Bacon’s practice focuses primarily on white collar criminal defense and complex civil litigation.

Since joining the firm in 2007, Ms. Bacon has worked on a variety of litigation matters, including the defense of a financial services corporation in grand jury and SEC enforcement investigations; an internal investigation into internet movie piracy at a major movie studio; and advising an electrical utility in connection with proceedings before the California Public Utilities Commission. Ms. Bacon is also engaged in the firm’s pro bono practice, most recently to help a family secure supplemental education services for their son under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.

Ms. Bacon received her J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School, where she was a research assistant for the Harvard Program on Negotiation, helping to edit the Handbook of Dispute Resolution and writing instructional materials for negotiation workshops. Ms. Bacon also participated in the Environmental Law Journal and the Criminal Justice Institute, a criminal defense clinic, where she defended indigent clients in the Roxbury and Dorchester criminal courts.  Prior to law, Ms. Bacon worked in the film industry for several years, earning an M.F.A. in  film  production from the University of Southern California, and in publishing, managing the publicity campaigns for several bestsellers including Under the Tuscan Sun by Frances Mayes.
