Genevieve A. Cox

GENEVIEVE COX is a litigation associate in the San Francisco office of Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP.

Ms. Cox’s practice extends to several aspects of litigation, including participation in a three-month jury trial involving breach of contract and fraud claims; representing a major pharmaceutical company in patent litigation against multiple generics; representing a major wireless company in patent litigation; representing an individual executive in connection with stock options investigation by the company, SEC, and U.S. Attorney’s Office; and representing a major insurance company in qui tam litigation.

In addition to her commercial litigation experience, Ms. Cox has provided pro bono assistance as a member of the American Bar Association’s Darfur Task Force and Faculty, designing curricula and attending legal conferences for Sudanese lawyers preparing for Darfur prosecution before the International Criminal Court. Ms. Cox continues to serve on the Darfur Task Force and has also served as Co-Chair of the ABA’s International Litigation Subcommittee.

Ms. Cox received her undergraduate degree, cum laude, from the University of California, San Diego. While at UCSD, she served as features editor and senior staff writer of The UCSD Guardian.

Ms. Cox graduated from Stanford Law School in 2003, where she was a member of the Stanford Journal of International Law and was elected to the Order of the Coif.  She joined the firm in 2005, after as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Alvin A. Schall of the U.S. Court of the Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the Honorable Marilyn L. Huff of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
