VICTORIA BOESCH is a litigation associate in the San Francisco office of Munger, Tolles & Olson, LLP.
Ms. Boesch’s practice includes complex civil litigation and internal investigations, with a focus on labor and employment and intellectual property.
Ms. Boesch has defended employers in wage and hour class actions, discrimination claims, trade secret matters and termination challenges. Having negotiated numerous favorable settlements for her clients, she also secured an arbitration victory for an employer found to have just cause in terminating a twenty-year union employee.
In addition to her employment practice, Ms. Boesch handles consumer class actions and intellectual property disputes. She recently obtained a $1.4 million attorney fee award for a semiconductor industry client in a patent case.
Ms. Boesch joined the firm in 2005 after serving as a law clerk for the Honorable Judge A. Wallace Tashima on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. At UC Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall), she served on the California Law Review and the Moot Court Board. In addition, she worked as a research assistant to Professor Robert C. Post, conducting extensive research relating to revision of the University of California’s Academic Freedom Policy. She also completed a judicial externship with Chief Justice Ronald M. George at the California Supreme Court.
Prior to law school, Ms. Boesch earned her undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College and her MFA in Drama from UC Davis. She spent several years performing in regional theaters, with favorite roles including Isabella in Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure and the characters in the one-woman show The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe.
