SUSAN BOYD is a litigation associate in the San Francisco office of Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP. Ms. Boyd joined the firm in 2003, after serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Marsha S. Berzon in the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit (2002-2003). Her practice focuses on complex business litigation, with an emphasis on bankruptcy, antitrust, and intellectual property matters. In 2005, Ms. Boyd led the effort of a high-technology plaintiff in an antitrust suit that resulted in a favorable settlement. She currently represents Universal Music Group in a copyright infringement suit related to the former file-sharing service Napster.
Ms. Boyd graduated from Harvard University in 1996, with a degree in Applied Math & Economics, summa cum laude. After working as a financial analyst, she attended Stanford Law School where she graduated Order of the Coif. During law school, Ms. Boyd acted as a teaching assistant for an undergraduate class in economics.
