William Edelman is a general commercial litigator based in the San Francisco office of Munger, Tolles & Olson.

Prior to joining Munger Tolles in 2013, Mr. Edelman clerked for the Honorable Charles R. Breyer of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California (2012-2013) and the Honorable Michael Boudin of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit (2011-2012).

Mr. Edelman holds a J.D. from Stanford Law School, where he participated in Stanford’s Supreme Court Litigation Clinic, served as an Editor-in-Chief of the Stanford Law & Policy Review, and served as a Notes Editor for the Stanford Law Review.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Edelman worked as a police officer for the San Diego Police Department for about four years. Mr. Edelman earned a M.S. from the University of Cincinnati, and he holds a B.A. in Political Science and B.S. in Sociology from Virginia Tech, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and graduated summa cum laude.
